Meet Dr. Molly McElrath
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist (CVA)
Certified Veterinary Medical Manipulation Practitioner (CVMMP)
Whole Food Formulator (WFF)
Dr. McElrath holds a deep passion for integrative medicine, blending Eastern and Western approaches to help animals live healthier, happier lives. She believes that true wellness comes from treating the whole animal—not just the symptoms.
A California native, Dr. McElrath earned her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Western University of Health Sciences. She later pursued advanced certifications at Chi University in Florida, where she trained in Veterinary Acupuncture (CVA) and Veterinary Medical Manipulation (CVMMP) to deepen her ability to support animals through a holistic lens.
Her career has taken her from mixed and small animal practices along California’s Central Coast to her current work as a relief veterinarian across the state. She also works as a custom formulator for JustFoodForDogs, creating individualized diets for dogs and cats with unique dietary needs.
Dr. McElrath has a special soft spot for senior animals, knowing firsthand the love and wisdom they bring. She works closely with primary veterinarians to provide integrative care for a variety of species, including dogs, cats, and horses. Her approach is always thoughtful, compassionate, and tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
When she’s not caring for animals, you’ll find her horseback riding, traveling, hiking, stand-up paddleboarding, or paddling with her outrigger canoe team. She shares her home with a senior horse, a special needs senior cat, and a newly adopted feisty kitten—each a daily reminder of why she loves what she does.
