Dr. Molly McElrath
Owner & Veterinarian
Dr. McElrath holds a deep passion for integrative medicine, blending Eastern and Western approaches to help animals live healthier, happier lives. She believes that true wellness comes from treating the whole animal—not just the symptoms.
A California native, Dr. McElrath earned her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Western University of Health Sciences. She later pursued advanced certifications at Chi University in Florida, where she trained in Veterinary Acupuncture (CVA) and Veterinary Medical Manipulation (CVMMP) and Rehabilitation and Performance Medicine (CERPV) to deepen her ability to support animals through a holistic lens.
Her career has taken her from mixed and small animal practices along California’s Central Coast to her current work as a relief veterinarian across the state. She also spent several years as a custom formulator with JustFoodForDogs, developing individualized nutrition plans for dogs and cats with complex dietary needs. Today, Dr. Molly balances relief work with owning and operating Twin Willows Integrative, where she is dedicated to delivering thoughtful, personalized care to each patient.
Dr. McElrath has a special soft spot for senior animals, knowing firsthand the love and wisdom they bring. She works closely with primary veterinarians to provide integrative care for a variety of species, including dogs, cats, and horses. Her approach is always thoughtful, compassionate, and tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
When she’s not caring for animals, you’ll find her horseback riding, traveling, hiking, or stand-up paddleboarding. She shares her home with a senior horse, a special needs senior cat, and two young feisty kitties—each a daily reminder of why she loves what she does.
